This is a course blog for Didactical Design of Courses in Higher Education during the Fall of 2019. The blog is one of three hybrid learning environments that we use besides Moodle and Zoom. The participants will develop didactic models individually and blog about them. The participants also work in study circles to plan a poster presentation in our pedagogic and didactic conference held in September 2020 in Vaasa, Finland. You will soon find their posters here too.
This is a 5 ECTS course in the programme for higher education pedagogy of 60 ECTS. The aim is to combine theoretical and practical knowledge to encourage pedagogical discussions and reflections among personnel at five higher education institutions; VAMK, Arcada, Novia, University of Vaasa and Åbo Akademi University. In this course, Didactical design of courses in higher education, we will study didactic theories behind teaching, planning and evaluating a course, to do that we need to take on the student perspective, or the learner perspective.
